November 5, 2024 – Jerel Booker has joined TM² Executive Search as the new Chief Operating Officer. Jerel’s career reflects an impressive dedication to higher education, with an extensive background in governance, stakeholder engagement, and nonprofit leadership.
Dr. Dakota Doman, Managing Principal of TM² Executive Search, expressed that Jerel’s deep experience with HBCUs and higher education brings a pivotal layer of leadership to the organization.
Jerel’s recent work as Assistant Deputy Commissioner for Academic Affairs at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board underscores his commitment to transforming education; he spearheaded initiatives that expanded college readiness programs and developed ADVi, a virtual advising tool benefiting over 200,000 students.
In his new role as COO, Jerel will guide TM²’s strategic initiatives and help foster innovative solutions tailored for HBCUs.
Jerel’s academic achievements include a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law, a Master’s in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore, and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Texas.
