North Carolina A&T State University has announced the appointment of Tamara Michel Josserand, M.Ed., MBA, as its new Vice Chancellor for University Advancement, effective mid-December.
A seasoned advancement leader with nearly 30 years of experience, Josserand currently serves as Vice President for Development at the University of Washington, where she oversees a 400-member team that has raised nearly $1.5 billion over the past two years.
Her career spans leadership roles at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Yale University, Northwestern University, and several other major institutions. Known for her expertise in transformational philanthropy and organizational leadership, she has guided large-scale restructures and led diverse fundraising teams to record results.
Chancellor James R. Martin II praised Josserand’s appointment, noting that her “deep sense of purpose and proven leadership expertise reflect the transformative power of education.”
Josserand earned degrees from the University of Chicago (MBA), Harvard University (M.Ed.), and Connecticut College (B.A.). She is also an active leader in service organizations, including the DuSable Heritage Foundation and the National Able Network, and has contributed nationally as a CASE faculty member and consultant.
