The Board of Trustees at Voorhees University has unanimously approved a contract extension for President and CEO Dr. Ronnie Hopkins, securing his leadership through 2031.
The board’s decision signals strong confidence in Dr. Hopkins’ leadership and a shared commitment to advancing Voorhees’ strategic trajectory.
“Dr. Hopkins has led with distinction, integrity, and a results-driven approach that has strengthened the institution academically, financially, and nationally,” said Board Chair Dr. David Miller.
Since assuming the presidency, Dr. Hopkins has guided Voorhees through a period of transformational growth. During his tenure, the institution achieved university status, expanded its graduate and doctoral offerings, secured historic philanthropic investments, including a gift from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, strengthened its national profile, and launched forward-thinking initiatives designed to enhance long-term sustainability.
