Spelman College has officially launched its search for the institution’s 12th president, marking a pivotal leadership moment for one of the nation’s most prestigious historically Black colleges and universities.
The announcement follows the 2024 departure of Dr. Helene Gayle and comes as alumna Roz Brewer (’84) continues to serve as interim president. The Board of Trustees has pledged an inclusive process, inviting input from students, faculty, staff, and alumni to help identify the next leader who will guide the college into its next era.
