TM² Executive Search, a subsidiary of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, continues to strengthen its leadership bench with the appointment of Dr. Felecia Commodore and Kevin Lamár Peterman as Senior Consultants. Both bring deep expertise in higher education governance, executive search, and a shared commitment to advancing leadership within the HBCU ecosystem.
Dr. Commodore currently serves as Associate Professor of Higher Education at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where her research focuses on organizational behavior, shared governance, and Black women in leadership. A recognized scholar and author, her work has appeared in The Washington Post and The Chronicle of Higher Education. She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania and is the author of Black Women College Students: A Guide to Success in Higher Education.
Kevin Lamár Peterman brings a diverse background in higher education leadership, ministry, and community development. He previously served as Chief of Staff at the UNCF and Executive Leadership Consultant at Isaacson, Miller, and currently leads as Senior Pastor of Nineteenth Street Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. A Howard University graduate, Peterman also earned advanced degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Princeton Theological Seminary.
Together, Dr. Commodore and Mr. Peterman will support TM²’s mission to connect outstanding leaders with institutions that shape the future of Black higher education.
