The University of Arkansas System has announced four finalists in its nationwide search for the next chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB).
The candidates were selected with input from an advisory search committee, chaired by UAPB alumnus and Pine Bluff native Perry Stuckey, a retired senior vice president at Eastman Chemical Co. Each finalist will visit the campus this month to engage with students, faculty, staff, and other university stakeholders. Their visits will include public presentations and Q&A sessions, with additional details available on the UAPB Chancellor search webpage.
The finalists, listed in order of their campus visit dates, are:
- Robert C. Mock, Jr., Ed.D. (Feb. 19) – Executive Vice President for Strategic Initiatives & Chief of Staff, University of Maryland Eastern Shore
- Anthony Graham, Ph.D. (Feb. 21) – Tenured Professor of Education and Former Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Winston-Salem State University
- Carla Martin, J.D. (Feb. 26) – Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff
- Robert Z. Carr, Jr., Ph.D. (Feb. 28) – Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs, Fisk University (Nashville, Tenn.)

The search process began with nearly 60 applicants from across the country by the December 2024 preferred deadline. After extensive deliberations throughout January, the advisory search committee narrowed the pool to these finalists. Following the campus visits and a feedback period, Silveria will present a recommendation to the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees for final approval.
